CanSkate

 

CanSkate is the "learn-to-skate" program of Skate Canada. It teaches the basic skills needed to go on to figure skating, ringette, or recreational skating. CanSkate students learn the basics while staying fit and having fun.

  • KidsCanSkate (ages 3 to 5) - emphasis on learning through play
  • CanSkate (ages 6 & up)
  • Advanced CanSkate - group lessons for skaters at test level; serves as a transition to private lessons
  • Synchronized Skating - (minimum of 12 skaters) emphasis on fun, team skating and friendly competition
  • KidsCanPowerSkate (ages 5-6) - for beginner skaters in preparation for hockey. Must be able to skate. Sessions at the Henderson Arena
  • CanPowerSkate - (minimum of 15 skaters) - must know how to skate. Requires full equipment. Sessions at the Labour Club.
  • Note: All CanPower skating programs require full equipment. Levels may be adjusted according to ability. CanPowerSkate programs are not 'learn to skate' programs.
