A $10 Administration Fee applies for any change in program registration.
All participants must be registered online at least 24 hours in advance of their first session.
SKATE CANADA MEMBERSHIP FEE
All skaters are required to purchase a non-refundable Skate Canada Membership at a cost of $43.65 in addition to the following program fees. This fee covers insurance, membership with the National Body, Safe Sport initiatives and more. This is a once annual fee and membership is from September 1st to August 31 of the following year.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Skate Canada Membership fee is non-refundable. There will be no refunds for withdrawal with the exception of withdrawal due to an AHS mandatory isolation due to COVID-19, in which case a refund of 50% of the program fee will apply.

SKATER INDEPENDENCE
Parents are not currently allowed in the arena. All skaters should arrive ice ready and must be independent to enter and exit the arena on their own. All participants must be 18 years and under, with the exception of the 1:1 Training Sessions for adult STARSkate participants (listed at the bottom of this page). This session of CanSkate is offered in group lesson format. All participants must have completed CanSkate Stage 2 and must be able to stand, move forward, and recover from a fall independently in order to stay within the 3-metre social distancing guideline. We regret we cannot accept beginner level skaters at this time, as coaches cannot physically assist skaters.
Parents are not allowed in the arena. All skaters must arrive ice ready and be independent enough to enter and exit the arena on their own.
Any one time-slot (lesson) is offered once per week for 4 weeks.

This session of CanPowerSkate is offered in group lesson format. All participants must stay within the 3-metre social distancing requirement. Parents are not allowed in the arena. All skaters must arrive ice ready and be independent enough to enter and exit the arena on their own. All participants must be 18 years and under.
Any one time-slot (lesson) is offered once per week for 4 weeks. Registrants should be available to accept either one of the two time-slots. Our coach Garry will assign time-slots upon review of registered participants and registrants will be notified of assigned time-slot before their first lesson.
Pre-requisite: All participants must have completed Pre-Power and be working at the following or higher skill level:
- Skate backwards the width of the rink, alternating strides
- Skate forwards the length of the rink, alternating strides
- Stop forwards both ways, full stop
- Stop backwards, V stop preferred > full stop
- Have beginnings of outside edge

Each skater will have one 15 minute private lesson and the remaining 30 minutes will be independent practise. Registration includes 45 minutes of ice time per week for 4 weeks. Parents will pay coaches directly for their private lessons.
All skaters must arrive ice ready and be independent enough to enter and exit the arena on their own. All participants must be 18 years and under.

Coaching is provided and included in the cost. Skaters and coaches must maintain 3-metre distancing at all times as is required under COVID-19 guidelines.

The above one hour sessions are available for private lessons. Maximum number of participants including coaches and skaters is 10. Skaters must first complete the private lesson commitment form which closes 10:00 am Saturday, Mar. 27th. The LSC will endeavour to schedule your ice-time and coaching assignments as per your preferences as best we can. Private Lesson STARSkate Fees (ice time only):

One-on-One Training will be presented in half hour sessions and is available to CanPowerSkate participants (all ages) and adult STARSkate participants aged 19 years and older. There will be 2 CanPower and 3 STARSkate 1:1 training sessions taking place simultaneously for a maximum of 10 people on the ice.
Registration includes one 1/2 hour of ice time per week for 4 weeks. This fee covers the cost of ice time but does not include coaching. Skaters will be assigned a private lesson coach and will pay the coach directly. Private lesson coaching fees range from $15.00 to $30.00 per half hour.
