Congratulations Coach Olea!

A Lethbridge Skating Club coach, Olea Taboulchanas achieved one of her coaching goals. In the fall of 2018 Olea completed the Advanced Coaching Diploma from the Canadian Sports institute and has received her diploma as a graduate of this elite program.  This accomplishment enabled Olea to receive Chartered Professional Coach designation (ChPC).

The Canadian Sports Institute is located in Calgary and offers an elite coaching program attracting applicants from around the world. Master coaches and sports experts deliver this exclusive diploma program to highly qualified coaches (level 3 or higher) identified by their national sports organizations. 

Olea continuously strives for the best, saying “I have always been up for challenges and now I am equipped with experiences and valuable information from the highest level. Applying this learning has changed me for the better as a person, a coach, a mother and a partner”.

Olea is not afraid of failing and enjoys the journey with all its ups and downs while working toward her goals. Her ultimate goal is to coach at the Olympics and she is hoping this training will help her get there.

The Lethbridge Skating Club celebrates Olea’s achievements and are proud to have her as part of their coaching team. Olea has been coaching for 20 years and can be found on many of Lethbridge Skating Club’s programs, including CanSkate, STARSkate, and AdultSkate programs.
